「自分の持っている物を友達に分け与える」という人間的美徳に関わる行為であるところが、違法コピーについて様々な思いを抱く要因である。また、人類の文化はコピーによって発展してきていることも、「違法」という言葉でしめつけられることへの抵抗の減点になっている。そもそも、現代遺産としてのこされているものは、過去にたくさんコピーされたが故に残っているのだ。王羲之の書も原本はすべて失われているが、コピーが伝わっているからこそ、現代でもそれに触れることができる。日本書紀も書き写されてきたからこそ現存している。コピーが少ない物は簡単に失われるのだ。
今から3000年後、人類は中国大陸でミッキーマウスを発見するかもしれないのだ。
"Sharing something one owns with friends" -- This is the beauty of human nature, however, it invokes complexed feeling against the wording: "illegal copy". Today's culture has been developed by copying something by people's hands, therefore, "illegal" sounds very displeasing and suppressive. Many valuable legacies were inherited by copies in the past. All the originals of Wang Xizhi's calligraphies have been lost but we can see them, today, by copies. Japanese oldest history books survives because they were copied by our ancients, hand by hand. Everything is easily lost if its copies were few.
3000 years later from now, people may discover Mickey Mouse in China, seriously.
